When you pay us, the money goes into a client trust account. Connecticut attorney rules require it, and we would do it anyway. It stays yours until we earn it, one stage at a time.
The marriage case, stage by stage
At each stage you get a written statement of what was completed. If you stop before we finish, the stages we have not completed are refunded. The word nonrefundable does not appear in our agreement.

A video call with the attorney. We confirm eligibility, walk through timing and government fees, and send you a written case plan.
You upload documents against a checklist. We draft the entire filing and send it to you for review before anything goes out.
We file with USCIS and track every receipt. Routine government requests for more evidence are handled inside the flat fee.
A mock interview by video before the real one. Then we monitor your case through the decision, or through the oath ceremony for citizenship.

Scope
We handle two case types, and only the straightforward versions of them. If your situation involves immigration court, a past removal order, an entry without inspection, or a criminal record, we are not the right firm, and we would rather you hear that from us in minutes than discover it months into your case.
The screening asks the questions that matter. When the answer is no, you get a written explanation and a referral to a lawyer who handles that kind of case, where we have one. No fee, no pitch.

The attorney
Zero One Legal is run by Eric P. Hoffman, a Connecticut attorney with fifteen years in law: seven litigating injury cases for plaintiffs, eight running legal and claims operations inside an insurer.
That second half is where the flat fee comes from. Pricing risk in advance, in writing, was the job. He started this firm to do two immigration case types carefully, at a price you can read before you ever pick up the phone.
Questions
It is the whole attorney fee for a straightforward marriage case. Government filing fees are separate, paid by you directly to USCIS, and we link to the current schedule. The add-ons, like an attorney attending your interview, are listed with their prices before you sign anything.
Yes. Immigration is federal law, and a lawyer admitted in any state can represent you before USCIS anywhere in the country. Everything is done by video and secure upload, so where you live does not change the process or the price.
Yes. Software runs the checklists, document collection, and deadline tracking. A lawyer makes every judgment call and reviews every page before it is filed. That split is what keeps the fee where it is.
Your payment sits in a client trust account and moves to the firm only as each published stage is completed. If you end the engagement early, the stages we have not completed are refunded. You get a written statement at every stage so there is nothing to argue about.
Responses to a denial or a notice of intent to deny are outside the flat fee, and we say so up front rather than in fine print. If it happens, we quote that work separately or refer you to a lawyer who handles it. The screening exists to make this rare: we only take the cases we expect to approve.
USCIS processing times change monthly and vary by office, so we do not quote a timeline we cannot control. We link you to the government's current estimate for your office, and you hear from us at every stage, whether or not anything has changed.
Yes. A payment plan is available on both case types: $995 to begin, then $500 per month for 6 months. The default rule is that we file once the fee is paid in full, and we tell you that before you choose the plan.
